On Thursday October 8, the South Norfolk Memorial Library was in the news, and on tv, for the dedication of the Memorial Plaque in honor of the students of the old South Norfolk High School who served in World War II. The plaque was almost lost when the old high school was demolished, but former student and WWII veteran, Raymond Harper, saved the plaque and with help from city officials restored it before giving it to the library.
